  • Minor surgery (treatment of lumps and bumps)

  • Well Man and Well Woman checks
  • Asthma and Chronic Pulmonary Disease clinics
  • Diabetes clinic
  • Smoking cessation clinic
  • Influenza and pneumonia vaccinations
  • Child health surveillance (developmental checks)
  • Mental Health, dementia and memory loss clinics
  • ECGs (Heart tracing)
  • Blood Tests
  • Lung function testing
  • Cryotherapy (Freezing of warts or verrucae)

Some services will be carried out by a doctor, while others will be with a nurse.  Some of the clinics are run by both nurse and doctor together.  Procedures such as stitch removal, ear syringing, dressings, etc. can be arranged with one of the Nurses.  Please ask at reception.

Free Health Checks

These consist of a basic health check with the nurse, including blood pressure and urine test. They are offered to all new patients and are available to other patients every three years.  Please ask at reception if you wish to book a health check.

Patients Over 75 Years

Our Practice Nurses and Health Care Assistant offer annual health assessments for patients over 75 years.

Private Charges

We only charge for services not covered by the NHS and follow the British Medical Association recommendations.  A list of charges is available at reception.  These include private certificates, insurance claim forms, certain medical examinations and the completion of passport applications.

Specimens for Laboratory Tests

Fresh specimens should be handed to a receptionist before 12 midday for delivery to the laboratory.  If telephoning about the result, please do so after 2:00pm at least 4 working days after the test.
